Adopt Biana

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Country of Origin: Hungary This charming female dog was found wandering alone in the town of Helvécia on April 14, 2026, and brought to the animal shelter. There, she received the name Biana. Unfortunately, her owners could not be located; she was neither microchipped nor did they report her missing at the animal shelter. Biana waited in vain for her people. The quarantine period is over and Biana hopes to soon be discovered by her new humans and start a happy new life with them. Biana is a loving, nice, and friendly female dog who is initially somewhat shy until she realizes that people mean well and won't harm her. She enjoys all kinds of affection and attention; it seems she has a lot of catching up to do. She needs a lot of love and close contact with us humans. Biana wants to go on great outings with her new humans and explore the big wide world out there, step by step. The leash still isn't entirely familiar to her, but as practice makes perfect, she's already doing quite well. She still needs some training and to learn the basics of being a dog. Although she is a small female dog, she follows the same rules as her larger fellow animals. She will surely quickly understand what is expected of her because she wants to please her human and do everything right. Biana gets along well with her fellow animals and is currently being integrated into a pack (as of May 11, 2026). For our dear Biana, we are looking for loving and sensitive dog lovers who can welcome her without imposing any demands on her and then gradually provide her with appropriate dog-friendly activities and offer her a varied and exciting life as a beloved family pet. A place where she can go on discovery tours and finally receive the love, security, and care she likely never experienced before, allowing her to lead a happy and fulfilling life. Who would like to enter into a wonderful dog-human partnership with Biana? Biana can travel from around mid-June 2026 once she has found a home or foster home.

About Biana

What life with Biana looks like

Biana is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Biana, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Biana?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Biana on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Biana if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Biana already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Biana isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Biana and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
