adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Bianca has found her people! Her story: Who has a heart for Bianca? The beautiful mixed-breed female dog Bianca is searching for her forever home. She shows herself in the shelter as quiet and a bit shy, and she always seems a little withdrawn. Through her imposing appearance, she almost looks wise. Perhaps she has spent her previous life on the streets and cannot understand why she is now confined. And so Bianca sits every day all day, seemingly waiting for something she may not even know what it is. We have promised her firmly that her life can now take a turn for the better and we will find a family that will take care of her. To end the miserable life on the streets and in the cramped kennel forever. Bianca is approximately 4 years old, weighs 35 kg, and is 63 cm tall. She has a shortened tail, possibly due to an accident or by human hand. Despite this, she is very gentle and friendly to all people she meets. We are looking for a quiet and sensitive family that will give Bianca the time to adjust that she will need. A garden and a rural environment would be ideally suited for her. Because Bianca is very likely a herding dog-mixed breed. These very special dogs were originally bred to protect livestock herds. Therefore, they are typically large, intelligent, and enduring. These animals bond strongly with their family and are, with proper guidance, very loyal and lovable companions. Herding dogs are instinctively vigilant, territorial, and can be particularly demanding in training due to their independence and individuality. We would be happy to inform you in detail. After a positive placement in a foster home, she would also be very happy! Who will give Bianca her ticket to happiness? Many thanks Simona L.! You have given Bianca her name! A big thank you also goes to Daniel V., who has taken on a monthly sponsorship for Bianca. Stand: 08.06. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 08.06.2024

About Bianca

What life with Bianca looks like

Bianca is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bianca, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bianca?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bianca on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bianca if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bianca already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bianca isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bianca and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
