Bianchino

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

12-03-2019 - Bianchina is growing, almost three months have passed since her arrival. For her too, the treatments and quality food have worked miracles, look at how beautiful she has become. This was only possible thanks to all of you who support us, otherwise we could do nothing of all this. 20-02-2019 - Here is our lovely baby, soon we will take her to the clinic for X-rays and to check how she is doing. Meanwhile, she thanks everyone who helps her with Intestinal food, the only food she can eat. Bianchina is growing and improving day by day, thank you all! 15-02-2019 - Bianchina, our miracle, our joy. They had given us few hopes, we were very afraid of losing her. Now she is growing well and as soon as possible she will be operated on. Bianchina is our miracle and yours. Without you, nothing would be possible, you are our strength. 01-02-2019 - It's not even two months since Bianchina arrived with us. She is growing, feeling better and we wait for the day when she will finally be ready for the operation. She is a very sweet little kitten, a doll. We thank the friends who are helping her with medicines and specific food. 25-01-2019 - Our little one is responding well to treatment, we hope to continue until the operation. She is a very fragile crystal. She loves cuddles and the warmth of the fleece blankets. If we manage to save her, it will be a miracle. Thank you to those who help us with food and everything else, Bianchina has touched many hearts. She is a doll. THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO WILL HELP US!!!!!! 17-01-2019 - Bianchina is much better, she has responded to treatment, she eats with appetite and, without illusions, it seems she is recovering. Come on little one, give it your all, you must grow strong to face the operations. You will see, dear, we will make it. Thanks to the Friends who are helping us. 11-01-2019 - Today the test results were not good but with proper care they should improve. We are doing our best together, Bianchina is a diamond for us, as fragile as a bird, and then, if you came to us, you have to resist, little star. 09-01-2019 - The little one is not feeling well these days, she eats little, is on fluid therapy. Bianchina is a piece of our heart, we all pray that she can get through this critical phase. We will update you as soon as we have news. 22-12-2018 - Unfortunately, Bianchina has a pelvic fracture involving the ileum and it seems also a lesion involving the sacrum. In addition, there is a bladder retroversion that ended up behind, yesterday it was repositioned, we need to wait for her physiological needs. The X-rays, if you look at them, speak very clearly. It's only a miracle that she is still alive but she keeps on resisting, today she had normal physiological functions. In short, we need to wait for her little body to start working. If she survives, it will be the miracle of life. Meanwhile, her appetite is not lacking. What to say? Pray for her, she is so beautiful. 21-12-2018 - She was found by the roadside, hit and taken to a clinic that immediately contacted us, so Bianchina came to us, the emergency room for the poor, the emergency room for those forgotten by everyone. Sometimes I wonder how we manage to support all these expenses without any public aid. Unfortunately, many here think we have great resources, but instead we are full of debts with clinics, we live on donations. She is a kitten of about three months, as beautiful as the sun, a feather. From a first examination, she has fractured hind legs, maybe also the pelvis and injuries to the rectum. Tomorrow morning she will be taken to the clinic and subjected to all the necessary diagnostic tests. The only comfort is that she eats with appetite. She is not a stray kitten, we would really like to know what she was doing out alone in the middle of traffic ... Click on the photos to enlarge them!

Alcune volte mi chiedo come facciamo a sostenere tutte queste spese senza nessun aiuto pubblico.

About Bianchino

What life with Bianchino looks like

Bianchino is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at L.I.D.A. Olbia in Olbia.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bianchino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bianchino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. L.I.D.A. Olbia handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bianchino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bianchino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — L.I.D.A. Olbia will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bianchino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bianchino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with L.I.D.A. Olbia early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bianchino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
