adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! The beautiful Bibi is a young female dog who quickly catches attention with her friendly and very affectionate nature. She seeks human proximity, enjoys attention, and shows herself to be open and approachable in handling. She was found as a puppy on a field near a sheep herd. At that time, she had already been injured by other dogs and had to fend for herself. Today, she is in safety in a foster home and shows that she can trust despite these experiences. Bibi is approximately 1 year old and currently measures around 49 cm and 20 kg. She will still grow. She is compatible with other dogs. Whether she knows cats, we cannot say at the moment. The sweet Bibi is looking for a home in a rural area, ideally with a garden. Bibi is still young and is in the middle of puberty. Life in a household must be something she still needs to learn. Whether she is house-trained, knows everyday noises, or is accustomed to regular routines, we cannot say. A safe only-dog home could ease her adjustment, but is not a must. Positive dog training classes could be a valuable support. Bibi is looking forward to beautiful walks, head or nose work would certainly bring her joy, and of course, plenty of cuddle time on the sofa should not be missing. Bibi is microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated and brings her EU pet passport with her. Who gives this young female dog the chance at a loved and cared-for life? Many thanks to her namesake, Petra F. You gave Bibi her name. As of: 30.05. This is a young, adolescent dog.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Bibi

What life with Bibi looks like

Bibi is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bibi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bibi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bibi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bibi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bibi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bibi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bibi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
