Biene

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Biene has found her home! Her story: 93180 Deuerling. The little Biene measures just 28cm at 9kg, but her motto is Small, but oh! The sweet mouse is packed with cuteness and charm. Every day, Biene greets the world with a wag of the tail and would love to sprint around, exploring with her black snout. After a short time on her current foster home, we can say: Biene has no problems with stairs, doors, vacuum cleaners, brooms, etc. We suspect that she might have had a home in Romania once. She is already house-trained, her dog bed was immediately accepted by her, and she likes to retreat there. With other dogs, she has no problem; Biene could therefore be rehomed as a second dog, but she is also happy with the status of the single princess. She jumps into the car immediately, although she can still be a bit nervous during the ride. On the leash, she walks calmly and has fun, even on longer stretches. Biene is a lively female dog who will be a faithful companion for all activities. Biene is currently estimated to be around 7 years old, based on her physical fitness and overall condition. Originally from Zalau, Romania, she might have Dachshund genes that would contribute to her cute appearance and wonderful personality. Dachshunds are generally known for their attachment, loyalty, intelligence, but of course also for their energy. Biene is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and in possession of an EU pet passport. She can be adopted by anyone who can be infected with her cuteness and joy and earn herself lots of cuddles as a reward. A thank you goes to the lovely Monika T., who chose a perfect name for her.

About Biene

What life with Biene looks like

Biene is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Biene, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Biene?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Biene on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Biene if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Biene already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Biene isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Biene and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
