Billi

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 9 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Billi can stay forever in his foster home! His story: Billi traveled to 52477 Alsdorf in mid-August to his foster home. Like in Romania, Billi is an absolute pack animal. He immediately integrated into his foster home and is a great team player. Typical for a young pup, he is playful and alert and gratefully accepts every affection and attention. Since day one, Billi is house-trained, has no problem with stairs, and counts not only dogs but also cats among his friends. He is about 9 months old and will reach a medium size. Billi has shining black fur and small white "booties." The handsome puppy has so much love to give and just needs the right family to join forever. Then he will be the happiest dog in the world. We wish Billi loving and active adopters, preferably with an existing only dog household and ideally also with a garden where Billi can have enough space to play and run. A visit to a positively working dog training class would also surely make him happy, as joint training will strengthen his self-confidence and the bond to his people. Billi is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms, and of course in possession of an EU pet passport. Would you like to visit Billi in his foster home? Then sign up! Thank you to Monika V. for taking over the namingsponsoring!

Möchtest du Billi in seiner Pflegestelle besuchen? Dann melde Dich! Danke an Monika V., für die Übernahme der Namenspatenschaft!

About Billi

What life with Billi looks like

Billi is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Billi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Billi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Billi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Billi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Billi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Billi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Billi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
