Adopt Billie

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten · 2 months

My story: Billie and her litter arrived at our shelter after being found in the forest. My personality: Billie is an adorable kitten who eagerly seeks out human interaction, accompanied by her loud purrs and contagious good mood. As soon as she spots someone, she’s often the first to come looking for a cuddle or a moment of intimacy. In her litter, Billie is undoubtedly the most clever! She was the first to be housebroken, to climb up and down the stairs, to explore everywhere, and to dive into new adventures. Curious, resourceful, and bold, nothing seems to scare her. Despite her explorer temperament, Billie also has a very tender side. She adores snuggling up to the family dog for a nap and loves to pat her blanket while nursing, a comforting routine that makes her even more adorable. Very curious about her environment, she already shows a strong interest in the outdoors and spends a lot of time observing everything around her. Billie also has a small, very amusing flaw: when her humans eat, she’s convinced that everything on the table deserves her inspection! You can lower her down ten times… she’ll climb back up with the same determination. Intelligent, affectionate, funny, and full of energy, Billie will bring a lot of life and tenderness to her future family. A little gem that just wants to find her forever home! Likes / Dislikes: Agreements:• OK cats• OK dogs• OK children The presence of another animal in the household is mandatory. Billie is very social and greatly enjoys the company of other animals, whether for playing, sleeping, or simply sharing her daily life. She will need to have access to the outdoors AFTER her spaying/neutering at 6 months.

About Billie

What life with Billie looks like

Billie is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at APAA Trégrom in France.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Billie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Billie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. APAA Trégrom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Billie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Billie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — APAA Trégrom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Billie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Billie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with APAA Trégrom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Billie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
