Billie Profile ♀️ female / neutered 🎂 Oct 2023 (estimated) ⚖️ approx. 42 cm, 14 kg ✔️ vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed 📖 Bosnian animal shelter certificate 🐈 compatibility with others: testing with other cats cannot be done on-site 📍 animal shelter Neverland (Bosnia) 🏡 Billie would also greatly appreciate a loving foster home. Look, I'm the beautiful Billie! My first weeks of life were spent with my mother and three sisters in a deserted ruin, where it was terribly cold and, above all, dangerous for us. Fortunately, we were discovered by animal welfare officers and were able to move into the warm, safe animal shelter Neverland quickly, where we could grow up in peace and well cared for. I feel very comfortable here and have made some friends, but I would like to leave the animal shelter as soon as possible to live with my own human family. There is still so much to discover out there, and that's best done with my very own humans, I've been told! I am a quiet yet adventurous, lovable, playful, and curious female dog who gets along with everyone and still has a lot to learn! So far, I can only do one thing: look beautiful. 🙂 Have you already fallen in love with me and have a great desire to teach me everything a young female dog needs to know? Do you want to love me with all your heart and spend your entire life by my side? Then please contact me quickly and ask about Billie! I am looking forward to my very own cozy home with YOU!

About Billie

What life with Billie looks like

Billie is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. in Schwabach.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Billie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Billie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Billie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Billie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Billie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Billie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Billie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
