BINKI

Mixed Breed · Male

If you look into the brown eyes of our Binkij, you immediately recognize his friendly and open nature. He is a young male who daily eagerly explores the world with his playful character. He shares his home in the shelter with other dogs of his age who get along exceptionally well, so in a new home, he could be waiting for another dog. He gets along equally well with males and females. This friendly puppy was welcomed to our shelter together with his brother and sisters. We do not know where he came from. What is certain is that his life outside the shelter is still unknown. Therefore, he needs people who will patiently and with understanding teach him everything. BINKI is very people-oriented and eager. We believe that at first, he will be very scared and shy but over time he will settle down. If BINKI finds his “forever basket” in a family with children, it would be wonderful if they are already a bit more stable and understand the young dog who still has a lot to learn. With tenderness, regular structures, and positive support, BINKI will develop into a wonderful companion who is loyal to his people. BINKI is a large breed dog, already standing 61cm tall, so for his large build, we recommend that children are older and people are physically active. We believe he would do well in an apartment but a house with a large yard would be a better option. BINKI was born in July 2025. Microchip number: 191100002341703.

HR·Show original

Ako pogledate u smeđe oči našeg Binkija, odmah prepoznajete njegovu prijateljsku i otvorenu narav.

About BINKI

What life with BINKI looks like

BINKI is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Udruga Spas Varaždin in Varaždin.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇷Adopting from Croatia

Croatian shelters include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID in the adoption process. Several work with Italian and German rescue networks for placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting BINKI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BINKI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Udruga Spas Varaždin handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BINKI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BINKI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Udruga Spas Varaždin will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BINKI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BINKI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Udruga Spas Varaždin early rather than rehoming privately; they know BINKI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
