adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Bino has found a home! His story: Bino sits on packed suitcases and is now on the lookout for his home. The charming fellow is about 3.5 months old and roughly 30 cm tall. We assume he will reach a larger size when he grows up. Bino is curious, friendly, and playful around people. He also gets along well with his fellow animals and looks forward to contact with other dogs. The little fur-nose has a beautiful mask, and with his spotted nose, he is unmistakable and incredibly handsome. Like every puppy, Bino still has much to learn, and we wish for the pretty fellow a family that will accompany him through the exciting time of growing up and that he does not have to grow up in the shelter. A family that shows him how beautiful life can be and that teaches him with patience and loving consistency everything he needs for a worry-free, peaceful coexistence. A visit to a positively working dog training class would be ideal here and a great support to further strengthen the bond between dog and human. For Bino, the best conditions are in place to grow into a wonderful companion. It is assumed that a herding dog mix is in Bino. We therefore wish for Bino people who already have experience or are willing to familiarize themselves with the characteristics of these wonderful dogs. Herding dogs are known to be loyal, attentive, and closely connected to their people. They often bring a calm, sovereign nature with them, but are also vigilant and independent thinkers. Herding dogs are not command recipients but partners—sensitive, intelligent, and with a strong need for bonding and trust. In the near future, puberty will be on the horizon. During this time, boundaries are tested, and it often seems as if the pubertal half-grown dogs have forgotten everything they have learned. During this time, strong nerves and clear leadership are required. And just as quickly as puberty arrives, it is over. If you can imagine that Bino will soon be padding around your home, then feel free to contact us. Of course, we would also be very grateful for a foster home. Bino travels vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He will be shipped after a positive. We thank Claudia very much! You have given Bino a name and thus an identity. Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 13.01.2026

About Bino

What life with Bino looks like

Bino is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
