BISCOTTE

Male · Puppy · 3 months

ADOPTION IN PROGRESS 🤞— Betty was alerted to a cachectic mother dog and her 8 tiny, skeletal-week-old puppies in a forest... Undoubtedly a cowardly abandonment...💔 We’ll soon share a post detailing their heartbreaking story. Today, with lots of love and thanks to an amazing canteen service, we’ve managed to transform them! They’re now ready to start a new life. Their mom is also looking for a new forever home. ✔ Biscotte already has quite a character—just like her sisters and two brothers. She’s very lively and quickly gaining confidence! What’s these babies’ favorite game? Playing pretend fights—and eating your shoelaces if you look away 😅✔ Biscotte will live in an apartment or a house with a fenced-in yard (NB: a yard doesn’t eliminate the need for daily walks 🙃)✔ And PREFERABLY with an adult male dog who’s well-adjusted and of similar size already living in the home.✔ She can also be introduced to cats and children. She’s a little sweetheart who’s already very playful. Come meet her and offer her a loving home where she can grow up surrounded by love! ➡ ADOPTION AVAILABLE IN DEPARTMENT 31 OR NEARBY AREAS—but we’ll consider any serious offers from outside the department.Biscotte ♀️ X Bully / Shepherd, born on May 16, 2026; microchip number 250268782103600 ℹ Adoption fee: €350 + an optional, tax-deductible donation covering identification, first vaccination, and deworming. ℹ If diagnosed: the test must be done at 8 months and at the adopter’s expense. For puppies under 7 months: → Castration/sterilization is MANDATORY at 7 months and at the adopter’s expense. → Puppy training classes at our school are mandatory. About BISCOTTE

What life with BISCOTTE looks like

BISCOTTE is a small puppy/kitten dog waiting at Association Agir pour les Animaux in Rennes.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting BISCOTTE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BISCOTTE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Association Agir pour les Animaux handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BISCOTTE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BISCOTTE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Association Agir pour les Animaux will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BISCOTTE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BISCOTTE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Association Agir pour les Animaux early rather than rehoming privately; they know BISCOTTE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
