Bish, Bash & Bosh

Male · Young · 1 year

Names: Bish (left), Bash (middle), Bosh (right) Species: Fancy rats Sex: Male (neutered*) Approx DOB : September 2025 estimate Status : Available for adoption Bish, Bash & Bosh are an amazing, fun trio of ratty boys who came into our care due to allergies in their previous home. They're very friendly and ok to handle but very wriggly and don't like to stay still! Bish and Bash are the most confident of the trio and are straight up to the cage door whenever anyone enters the room, while Bosh hangs back a little but is still a lovely boy. Bash likes to attempt an escape by climbing an open cage door, he’s a real mischief! They were quite squabbly on arrival so we had them all neutered and they are now much calmer, just occassionally having a small disagreement over food, but scatter feeding around the cage helps. *During their neuters, only one testicle was located in Bish, so to be safe they will need to only be housed with other males (or spayed females) if joining other rats. Should the other testicle appear, we are happy to cover the cost of a further procedure at our usual vets in Chorlton. Bish has been intermittently sneezy while in our care and has had a course of antibiotics for this as well as X-rays which didn’t show any scarring of his airways or heart issues, so there is no obvious underlying cause. He just might be a bit of a sneezy boy ongoing! This is a wonderful trio of boys and whoever adopts them is very lucky! Minimum housing requirements: 3-4 rats = 100cm w x 54cm depth (or 5400cm square footprint) x 64cm height (i.e. Coco Large, Mamble 100) 5 – 10 rats = 100cm w x 54cm depth (or 5400cm square footprint) x 120cm height (Liberta Explorer, Savic Royal Suite 95, Little Zoo Venturer etc) 10+ rats = Savic Royal Suite XL or something custom made bigger than a Liberta Explorer! Adoption fee: Minimum donation of £120 for the trio (each ratty cost us £135 to neuter!) Please read our rat advice pages prior to applying to adopt. Apply to Adopt

Frequently asked

Adopting Bish, Bash & Bosh, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bish, Bash & Bosh?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiny Paws MCR handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bish, Bash & Bosh on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bish, Bash & Bosh if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiny Paws MCR will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bish, Bash & Bosh already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bish, Bash & Bosh isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiny Paws MCR early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bish, Bash & Bosh and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
