Adoption requirements adoption process Request this animal now! Adoption requirements adoption process Request this dog now! Biskuit is a sweet female dog with a very special charm. Her brown, slightly wavy fur, attentive eyes and especially her lovely curling tail make her a real little unique. She looks like a delicate, fluffy cookie on four paws, soft, warm and simply loveable. She is extremely friendly, loving and people-oriented. Biskuit seeks closeness, enjoys attention and appears gentle and approachable. She gets along well with other dogs and meets them openly and playfully. She actually finds car rides really great, she looks out the window curiously and enjoys the wind in her fur. Even though Biskuit will probably remain rather small when fully grown, she should not be underestimated. Small dogs need just as consistent training, clear rules and time as large ones. Behind this sweet face, therefore, is not only a young dog but also responsibility. Her new family should be aware that Biskuit does not yet know life in a loving family. She still has to learn the entire dog ABC and puberty is already in full swing. During this time, she needs people who approach her with lots of love, patience and clarity, forgive her small mistakes and accompany her safely through life. A visit to positive working dog training classes would definitely be useful. Leash walking, housebreaking and being alone are still foreign words for her. During puberty, she will certainly test limits and may even "forget" some things she has already learned. But if you master this phase together, Biskuit will certainly become a wonderful lifelong partner. After a successful placement, would you like to give Biskuit the place where her little curly tail can wag every day with joy? A big thank you to Britta, you gave Biskuit her name. Status: 11.05. This animal is vaccinated.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Biskuit

What life with Biskuit looks like

Biskuit is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Biskuit, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Biskuit?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Biskuit on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Biskuit if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Biskuit already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Biskuit isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Biskuit and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
