Sirius is housed at Swiss Ranch. We provide placement assistance for the Animal Welfare Center/Swiss Ranch. The care of Sirius costs an average of €100 per month, for which we are seeking sponsors. For 2025, €0 has been covered by sponsors per month. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Current description July 2026: Sirius was brought to us by official order from Helvcia, after it was found that he was kept in inhumane conditions. The just about one-year-old Rde unfortunately had no good start in life. He was locked in a kennel that was hardly cleaned. This not only made his living conditions bad, but also his opportunities to get to know the world and develop normally were severely restricted. Fortunately, this is now a thing of the past. Sirius is finally safe and receives the care and attention he would have deserved all along. At first, Sirius may seem a bit reserved. But as soon as he realizes that nothing is going to happen to him, he quickly shows his true nature. He is an incredibly loving, cuddly and attached dog who genuinely enjoys human closeness and gratefully accepts every caress. Since Sirius is still very young, he naturally has a lot to learn. His upbringing has been neglected so far, which is why we are looking for people who are patient, consistent and enjoy working with him. He is open to new things and still malleable - with the right guidance, he has the best chances of developing into a balanced and well-mannered companion. We wish for Sirius a stable and loving home, where he not only finds a roof over his head but also security, warmth and affection. We are looking for people who are willing to invest time and energy in him - Sirius will give it back to them with endless loyalty, love and gratitude. Now he only needs one thing: a person who shows him how beautiful it is to finally really come home.

About Bitte spenden Sie hier

What life with Bitte spenden Sie hier looks like

Bitte spenden Sie hier is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. in Schnarup-Thumby.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bitte spenden Sie hier, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bitte spenden Sie hier?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bitte spenden Sie hier on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bitte spenden Sie hier if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bitte spenden Sie hier already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bitte spenden Sie hier isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bitte spenden Sie hier and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
