Janos is being cared for at the Swiss Ranch. We provide mediation assistance for the animal welfare center/Swiss Ranch. The care of Janos costs an average of €100.00 per month; therefore, we are looking for sponsors. For 2026, monthly funds provided by sponsors amount to: One-time donations: €0.00 Total so far: €0.00 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Description – August 2026 Janos is unrecognizable! For one thing, he visited the dog groomer and patiently and obediently allowed the procedure to take place. He has also regained trust in us humans. He lets himself be petted and cuddled and is learning to walk on a leash. In short: Janos is ready for "his" family. Yes, Janos is no longer a young dog, but he’s far from being past his prime. If you’re interested in this handsome and eager-to-learn gelding, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Upon request, we’d be happy to provide additional photos and video material. Background: Janos came to us at the end of October 2025. He is the father of many dogs that we took over from Elizabeta. Ultimately, Janos ended up at the animal welfare center due to an official order. Janos is cautious. When he encounters something new, he first freezes up and comments on the situation with a low growl. However, when offered treats, his heart opens, and Janos simply needs a patient owner who will take things slowly with him. Janos has no problems getting along with other dogs. But with Janos, you’ll also get quite a bit of fur, so you should plan some time for its care. At the animal welfare center, we’ll continue working on building Janos’ trust, and we’ll keep you updated. *Should more donations be received than indicated, they will be used for the association’s purposes. If you do not agree with this, please contact us at:

About Bitte spenden Sie hier

What life with Bitte spenden Sie hier looks like

Bitte spenden Sie hier is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. in Schnarup-Thumby.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bitte spenden Sie hier, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bitte spenden Sie hier?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bitte spenden Sie hier on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bitte spenden Sie hier if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bitte spenden Sie hier already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bitte spenden Sie hier isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bitte spenden Sie hier and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
