Ordas is housed at Swiss Ranch. We provide placement assistance for the Animal Welfare Center/Swiss Ranch. The care for Ordas costs an average of €100 per month, for which we are seeking sponsors. For 2026, monthly sponsorship is covered: One-time donations: €0. For 2026, total so far: €0. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Current description September 2026: Ordas came into our care together with Bundi after his owner unfortunately had to move to a retirement home and could no longer care for them. Ordas and Bundi had been together their whole lives and belonged to the same person since they were puppies. They not only shared a home, but were also an important and familiar support for each other. Therefore, it was especially difficult for both of them when everything in their lives changed overnight. Ordas may have been even more affected by this change. With a new, unfamiliar person, he needs more time to open up, get to know them, and finally gain trust. He is no longer a dog that immediately approaches every person. He needs time. Time, patience, and a little understanding to believe again that there is a person who stays and whom he can trust again. However, we would like to firmly believe that someone will fall in love with this older gentleman with his gray snout. That there is someone who does not look at how old he is, but at how much love is still in him. Someone who does not expect Ordas to open up within a few days, but gives him exactly the time he needs. Maybe Ordas needs his own person now more than ever. A calm and patient person, with whom he can feel at home again and who shows him that life still has beautiful, loving years in store for him. And we hope with all our hearts that someone will recognize the lovable older dog in him, who is still waiting for someone to consciously decide for him again. *If more donations than indicated are received, they will be used for association purposes. About Bitte spenden Sie hier

What life with Bitte spenden Sie hier looks like

Bitte spenden Sie hier is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. in Schnarup-Thumby.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bitte spenden Sie hier, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bitte spenden Sie hier?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bitte spenden Sie hier on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bitte spenden Sie hier if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bitte spenden Sie hier already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bitte spenden Sie hier isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bitte spenden Sie hier and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
