Hunor is housed at Swiss Ranch. We provide placement assistance for the Tierschutz-Zentrum/Swiss Ranch. The monthly care for Hunor costs on average 100,-CHF, for which we seek sponsors. For 2026, monthly sponsorships are covered as follows: One-time donations: 0,-CHF Total so far: 0,-CHF ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Description February 2026: Hunor is an approximately two-year-old, Puli-like mixed breed, whose story began on the streets of Jakabszöllös. There, he wandered alone, without security, without a fixed place, without someone waiting for him. Eventually, he found his way to our animal shelter, where he now has the chance for a new beginning. The first time was not easy for him. After the uncertainty and loneliness he experienced, Hunor had to adjust. New sounds, new people, new routines—everything was unfamiliar for the sensitive young dog. But step by step, he builds trust and shows more and more of his wonderful nature. His curly, black fur, which is dotted with pretty white spots on his chest and chin, gives him a special charm. But his true beauty lies deeper: in his alert, expressive eyes and his gentle, affectionate character. At first, Hunor meets new situations and strangers with a certain shyness. He observes, takes his time, and tests whether he can trust. But those who meet him with patience, calmness, and an open heart are quickly rewarded: behind his initial reticence lies a friendly, seasoned, and loyal companion who greatly enjoys the closeness of his human. With other dogs, Hunor gets along well after a short getting-to-know-you phase. He is social, curious, and playful—a young dog eager to explore the world and ready to learn more. His intelligence and learning enthusiasm make him a wonderful companion for people who enjoy growing with their dog. For Hunor, we wish for a home that offers him security and safety. People who take the time to build trust with him and accompany him lovingly through his new life. A home where he can settle in. *Should more donations than specified be received, they will be used for association purposes. If you are not in agreement, please contact us at:

About Bitte spenden Sie hier

What life with Bitte spenden Sie hier looks like

Bitte spenden Sie hier is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. in Schnarup-Thumby.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bitte spenden Sie hier, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bitte spenden Sie hier?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bitte spenden Sie hier on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bitte spenden Sie hier if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bitte spenden Sie hier already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bitte spenden Sie hier isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bitte spenden Sie hier and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
