Betty is housed at Swiss Ranch. We provide placement assistance for the Swiss Ranch Animal Shelter. The monthly care for Betty costs on average 100,-CHF, for which we seek sponsors. For 2026, monthly sponsorship is covered by donations: One-time donations: 0,-CHF Total so far: 0,-CHF ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Description March 2026: Betty was the first of a total of 25 dogs that were taken in by the Animal Shelter in accordance with an official order. Prior to that, she lived under very poor conditions and was confined in a much too small kennel for an extended period. For a young, energetic female dog with her temperament, this husbandry was an enormous restriction. Movement, exercise, and variety were barely possible for her over a long period. Only at the Animal Shelter did she get the chance to move freely and learn an appropriate environment. Betty has a shoulder height of about 52 cm and is an energetic, open female dog. She brings typical for her breed a lot of temperament and joy, and has an abundance of surplus energy. Since her intake, she has lived in a large enclosure, sharing it with Gyurika. There, she uses the space enthusiastically to run, play, and frolic. In her interactions with people, Betty is very friendly and open. She is active, attentive, and interested in her surroundings. A home is being sought for Betty, where she receives the necessary training, clear leadership, and lots of affection. Due to her temperament and energy, she needs people who enjoy movement and shared activities with the dog. An environment where she is sufficiently challenged and gets regular exercise is particularly important for her. At the same time, she needs people who show her with patience and love how a stable and safe coexistence works. *Should more donations than specified be received, they will be used for club purposes. About Bitte spenden Sie hier

What life with Bitte spenden Sie hier looks like

Bitte spenden Sie hier is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. in Schnarup-Thumby.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bitte spenden Sie hier, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bitte spenden Sie hier?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bitte spenden Sie hier on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bitte spenden Sie hier if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bitte spenden Sie hier already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bitte spenden Sie hier isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bitte spenden Sie hier and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
