Blade is a 11-year-old male Bengal-Mix cat who was spayed. He is very people-oriented and loves attention. He is agile, curious, and likes to be involved in everything. If he doesn't like something or feels left out, he can be loud about it. With patience, understanding, and consistent guidance, these behaviors can be worked on. When he has had enough active time, he enjoys being independent and taking naps. Blade is generally interested in other cats, but he marks them. For this reason, we are looking for a single-cat household. Additionally, there should be no high cat density in his immediate surroundings. The most important thing for Blade is his future home; we make no exceptions: Blade will only be placed in a rural area with outdoor access. Dangerous or heavily trafficked roads are not allowed nearby. Blade was previously hit by a car. Fortunately, he suffered no lasting health damage, but his hind leg is sometimes unsteady. He can still jump, climb, and enjoy his life, but would be at a higher risk in a busy neighborhood. We are looking for experienced cat owners or people who are aware that he still needs to learn or unlearn some behaviors. His future owners should have plenty of time for him, be patient, and be able to handle the sometimes lively and strong-willed nature of a Bengal. Whoever gives Blade the right environment, understanding, and love will get a wonderful, affectionate, and loyal companion who will bring a lot of joy. Er ist agil, neugierig und möchte am liebsten überall dabei sein. Wenn ihm etwas nicht passt oder er ausgeschlossen wird, kann er dies auch einmal lautstark mitteilen. Mit Geduld, Verständnis und konsequenter Führung sind dies jedoch Dinge, an denen man gut mit ihm arbeiten kann. Hat Blade seine aktiven Momente ausgelebt, beschäftigt er sich aber auch gerne selbstständig und geniesst seine Ruhephasen. Gegenüber anderen Katzen zeigt Blade grundsätzlich Interesse. Allerdings reagiert er auf die meisten Artgenossen mit Markierverhalten. Aus diesem Grund suchen wir für ihn nach heutigem Kenntnisstand zwingend einen Einzelplatz. Zudem sollte sich in seiner unmittelbaren Umgebung möglichst keine hohe Katzendichte befinden. Der wichtigste Punkt bei Blade ist sein zukünftiges Zuhause, wir machen hierbei keine Ausnahmen: Blade wird nur an einen ländlichen Wohnort mit Freigang vermittelt. Gefährliche oder stark befahrene Strassen dürfen sich nicht in der Nähe befinden. Blade wurde in der Vergangenheit bereits von einem Auto angefahren. Glücklicherweise hat er keine bleibenden gesundheitlichen Schäden davongetragen, jedoch ist seine Hinterhand manchmal etwas unsicher. Er kann weiterhin gut springen, klettern und sein Leben geniessen, wäre aber in einem belebten Quartier mit viel Verkehr einem deutlich erhöhten Risiko ausgesetzt. Für Blade wünschen wir uns erfahrene Katzenhalter oder Menschen, die sich bewusst sind, dass er noch die eine oder andere Verhaltensweise lernen beziehungsweise umlernen muss. Seine zukünftigen Menschen sollten möglichst viel Zeit für ihn haben, geduldig sein und auch mit dem manchmal lebhaften und charakterstarken Wesen eines Bengals umgehen können.
