adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Blossom has found a home! Her story: Blossom was already able to travel to a foster home in 34593 Knüllwald-Ellingshausen after 34593 Knüllwald-Ellingshausen. Here, she shows herself as an open and curious girl. She joyfully runs around with the other dogs at the foster home but also likes to snuggle with her foster mom and seek some peace. Even when it gets a bit too much for her, she seeks refuge with a human. Blossom has already gotten to know life in a loving family and a house for some time. House training is going better and better, and she is also familiar with the first basic commands. Blossom has also met children. Wild children who do not yet accept a dog's privacy are not to her liking, and she will retreat. In your new family, the children should ideally be a bit older and know how to behave around a dog. Otherwise, Blossom is on her way to becoming a great companion in everyday life and is looking forward to experiencing many new adventures with her family. Currently, Blossom is 5.5 months old. She can be visited and met in her foster home! However, your new family should be aware that Blossom still has to learn the whole puppy ABC and that puberty is in full swing. She needs people who can approach with love and patience, and possibly also attend some positively working dog training classes with her and forgive her one or two mishaps. Leash walking, house training, and being alone are still foreign words to her. During puberty, she will certainly test boundaries and perhaps even forget some things she has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Blossom will definitely become a great lifelong companion. Blossom is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive assessment. We would also be very happy to have a foster home for the sweet mouse! Who will give her a loving forever home? A special thank you to Alexa for giving our Blossom her wonderful name! As of: 28.10.

Stand: 28.10.2024

About Blossom

What life with Blossom looks like

Blossom is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Blossom, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Blossom?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Blossom on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Blossom if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Blossom already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Blossom isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Blossom and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
