adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Blues can stay with your loving family forever! Her story. Blues is as elegant as a black diamond and looks into the camera with her sweet puppy expression. One might think she knows that this photo shoot is about her future. She is truly a real stunner! Blues has shining black fur, alert dark button eyes, and beautiful little ears. The cute puppy with the smart expression is likely to keep her medium size as she grows. So she fits into any dog-loving family and will surely bring a lot of joy to her new human. Currently, Blues is simply a wonderful and affectionate young female dog who wants to be pampered and protected. She arrived in her foster family and has been very trusting and cuddly from the start, loving all people and dogs. She gets along well with the existing first dog and even the cats. Children are no problem either. Blues is an incredibly sweet and eager-to-learn puppy girl, very smart and adaptable with a quick learning ability. Within a few days, she has proven to be clingy. Leash walking is no problem for her. She walks great on a leash, at least as far as her little paws can carry her. Surprisingly, she is already almost house-trained, even though she has only been in her foster home for less than a week. Blues's puberty will not be far off, and this is also a time for dogs when the foundations for the rest of their life are set. We recommend that her new family work with a positively trained dog class. Patient and loving training will strengthen her self-confidence, deepen her bond with her trusted people, and keep her physically and mentally challenged. Originally, Blues came from Romania, Baia Mare. This animal was abandoned.

About Blues

What life with Blues looks like

Blues is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Blues, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Blues?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Blues on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Blues if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Blues already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Blues isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Blues and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
