Adopt BOB

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 2 months

BOB is a young kitten currently in foster care with his brother Bowie and his sister Boulette. Like them, he is full of curiosity and is discovering the world with enthusiasm. Very playful and adventurous, BOB loves to explore his environment, chase toys, and participate in all the house activities. But what truly sets him apart is his incredible affection for humans ❤️ A true little love bug, BOB is the most cuddly of the litter. Very close to humans, he seeks out contact, petting, and moments of tenderness. He loves to be near his humans and never misses an opportunity to come begging for attention 🥰 ⚠️ BOB must remain indoors until his spaying/neutering. This is mandatory at six months of age for all kittens adopted from the shelter and remains the responsibility of the adopter. ✨BOB is now waiting for his forever family. One thing is certain: with him, cuddles will always be on the agenda!

About BOB

What life with BOB looks like

BOB is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Refuge Angoumois in Angoulême.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting BOB, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BOB?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Refuge Angoumois handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BOB on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BOB if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Refuge Angoumois will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BOB already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BOB isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Refuge Angoumois early rather than rehoming privately; they know BOB and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
