Adopt Bobbi

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 8 months

Bobbi currently lives on one of our foster placements and is getting to know family life there. He is developing very well and shows himself to be a cheerful, lively young puppy who has a great desire to experience something and be active together with his people. Activities like fetching, food games, or even dog sports like agility could be perfect for him. The little whirlwind already masters sit and stay, and he is already house-trained. Walking on a leash is practiced daily and he is making good progress. Bobbi loves car rides and playing in the garden is also one of his favorite activities. At home, he shows himself to be pleasant: He sleeps through the night and is not overexcited at home, but normally quiet. With other dogs, Bobbi gets along well. During encounters on a leash with dogs or people, he may sometimes bark briefly, especially when it is dark. Even when strangers enter the house or the yard, he alerts them. He is initially a bit suspicious of strangers but remains generally friendly. Since Bobbi currently still sees much of the world as a game, it sometimes falls hard to accept boundaries. Therefore, he needs a consistent, loving upbringing as well as clear rules and structure. It is also important for him to have adequate quiet time, as he can become easily overwhelmed. However, he uses these breaks to cuddle very much – he loves that. Bobbi currently does not like to be left alone and must be built up patiently and step by step. For Bobbi, we wish for active people who enjoy working with a young puppy, giving him security and orientation, and discovering the world together with him. A home without small children would be ideal for him, so he can continue to grow and develop in peace. With the right guidance, Bobbi will bring everything with him to become a wonderful companion. This is a young, adolescent dog.

About Bobbi

What life with Bobbi looks like

Bobbi is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fellnasen Stuttgart e.V. in Stuttgart.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bobbi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bobbi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fellnasen Stuttgart e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bobbi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bobbi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fellnasen Stuttgart e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bobbi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bobbi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fellnasen Stuttgart e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bobbi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
