Bobby & Lotta

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Bobby and Lotta are a pair of rabbits who are looking for a loving and suitable home together. Bobby, at 6 years old, is a calm rabbit who is curious and interested in his surroundings. Lotta, at 3 years old, is the younger of the two and more cautious. She is anxious and needs people who give her the necessary time and peace to feel safe. Both are familiar with outdoor living and enjoy moving freely. In addition to their enclosure, they are used to daily exercise in a fenced garden or on the patio. They also know and love a suitable fresh diet. Bobby and Lotta have been regularly presented to a veterinarian and are known there accordingly. The two will only be given away together.

About Bobby & Lotta

What life with Bobby & Lotta looks like

Bobby & Lotta is a adult mixed breed rabbit waiting at Tierschutzverein Ibbenbüren in Ibbenbüren.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bobby & Lotta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bobby & Lotta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Ibbenbüren handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bobby & Lotta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bobby & Lotta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Ibbenbüren will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bobby & Lotta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bobby & Lotta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Ibbenbüren early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bobby & Lotta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
