💙 BOBI 💙 BLAZ 📍 Location: Croatia - can be visited at any time 🐾 General Information: • Name: BOBI • Age: born on 01.01.2017 • Gender: male 🐾 Health: • General condition: good • EU pet passport present • microchipped • Vaccinated against rabies and infectious diseases • Neutered • Weight: approx. 23 kg • Height: approx. 55 cm The descriptions of the dogs by the shelters in Croatia are based on current impressions on site and do not guarantee the future behavior or development of the dog. 🐾 Personality & Behavior: Bobi is a quiet, friendly, and extremely lovable male dog who primarily desires the closeness of his people. For many years, he spent time with his companion Rea at an older man's home, who took care of the two of them. After the man's passing, they were left behind and had to learn to cope with loneliness and uncertainty. For some time, Bobi has been living in a foster home and is discovering many things that are completely new to him. He is learning to live as a family dog at his own pace. Bobi is a very tidy and pleasant roommate who knows the rules of the house and easily fits into daily life. His favorite pastime is to lie relaxed on the terrace and observe the world. He gets along well with cats, as he has lived with them his entire life. He also knows free-ranging chickens and shows no interest in chasing them. With other dogs, Bobi has had little contact in his past life. Therefore, he approaches unfamiliar dogs cautiously at first. If they are friendly, he also behaves peacefully and without problems. Car rides are still unfamiliar to him and make him a bit nervous. Also, walks are not necessarily among his greatest passions, especially when he has to walk on a leash. Nevertheless, he goes along quietly and without trouble, enjoying the shared time with his people. Bobi knows very little about toys and balls. It is still hard for him to understand why people throw objects and want them back. Perhaps he will discover this joy for himself one day. Most important for Bobi are human proximity, security, and affection. He loves the company of people and is delighted by any attention. He also likes children very much and greets them friendly and affectionately. 🐾 Special Preferences: • Very people-oriented • Loves children • Quiet and balanced • Knows life in the house • Cat-friendly • Ignores chickens and other farm animals • Peaceful with other dogs • Enjoys relaxed hours on the terrace • Loves attention and closeness • Gentle and uncomplicated companion 💌 How You Can Help:

About Bobi

What life with Bobi looks like

Bobi is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Hund sucht Hütte in Austria.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bobi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bobi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hund sucht Hütte handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bobi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bobi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hund sucht Hütte will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bobi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bobi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hund sucht Hütte early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bobi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
