Bobita

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 10 months

Bobita, a Shih Tzu, ran towards Rodica's shelter one day. He had no collar and no owner was in sight. Bobita was surprisingly well-groomed when he was found, suggesting he hadn't been on the streets for long. Rodica learned in the village that Bobita probably belonged to a man. This man has a history of throwing dogs out of windows. So far, he has not contacted Rodica or inquired about Bobita. Therefore, Bobita will stay with Rodica - and we sincerely hope it stays that way. Nobody wants Bobita to return to this man. We are now looking for a loving and safe forever home for Bobita. He needs people who love him, take good care of him, and show him how beautiful a home can be. As a Shih Tzu has no undercoat, Bobita is particularly sensitive to cold. He will probably struggle to survive a winter in Romania. Therefore, we very much hope Bobita finds his people and travels to a warm home before the big winter sets in. Bobita is waiting for his chance. Maybe you are the person he has been waiting for?

DE·Show original

About Bobita

What life with Bobita looks like

Bobita is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Glückshunde Schweiz in Glueckshunde.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bobita, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bobita?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glückshunde Schweiz handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bobita on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bobita if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glückshunde Schweiz will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bobita already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bobita isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glückshunde Schweiz early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bobita and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
