Bocelli

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Bocelli has found his people! His story: Bocelli was found alone on the street. His eyes were in an unimaginably bad condition. With barely a chance to survive on the street, yet Bocelli is a fighter and has shown us where the hare runs. Now his eyes are doing well, one can still see the haze, but Bocelli sees almost everything and that is the most important. His future people will surely look past that, because Bocelli is a true beauty inside and out! And not only that: Bocelli is described by his caretakers as uncomplicated, easy-going, and especially charming. He has never shown any aggression or bad temper towards people or cats. He is a roundly wonderful tomcat who deserves to finally find a home. Since he gets along so well with them, Bocelli should not have to give that up in his new home. If a feline friend lives in the new home, that would be a bonus. Should that not be the case, Bocelli will surely have someone in the back paw to bring along. Dogs could also live in the new home, as he seems to be compatible with them. A walk in the open is not for the striped tomcat, but he would greatly appreciate a cat-safe balcony from which he can enjoy the fresh air. The balcony is, however, not a must. For the tomcat, we are looking for loving and sovereign or patient people who will give him their heart and envision a long life together. Bocelli will be microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, dewormed, and treated for fleas before moving into his new home and has tested negative for FiV and FelV. He possesses an EU pet passport and will be supported by a monthly sponsorship. Stand: 14.12. This cat needs outdoor access.

Stand: 14.12.2024

About Bocelli

What life with Bocelli looks like

Bocelli is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bocelli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bocelli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bocelli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bocelli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bocelli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bocelli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bocelli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
