Bocky

Male · Adult · 7 years

I am Bocky and I was secured for animal welfare reasons, hoping now for a wonderful new and experienced home forever. That’s me: I am a Feini – but there is one thing I don’t like: other dogs. It stresses me out and I also like to nip at the leash. So, of course, it’s pretty exhausting for me here at the animal shelter with all the fellow animals. But people, I think, are great, I am loving and like to snuggle. Unfortunately, I am still not fully house-trained, but I learn quickly and also master the basic commands. I also can’t be left alone yet. Together and with a lot of practice, we will definitely manage that. 🙂 I wish for an experienced, loving home with a heart for a smaller Boxer-mixed breed like me. My home shouldn’t be in the bustling city, but rather quiet, for example, on the outskirts or in the countryside, so that I can better settle down. I am looking forward to spending a lot of time with you, doing things with you, and giving me loving support when I get worked up about other dogs. Can I become happy by your side?

About Bocky

What life with Bocky looks like

Bocky is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg in Berlin.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Not house-trained, cannot be left alone, reactive to other dogs, needs quiet environment

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bocky, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bocky?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bocky on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bocky if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bocky already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bocky isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bocky and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
