Bodega is a male dog born in May 2024, with brindle fur, who came into our care thanks to the support of the Fans for Animals Foundation, having been rescued from poor living conditions. Due to his previous experiences, he remains wary of people and will need time to learn that human hands don't always mean harm. We are steadily building trust with his caregivers, and he’s making beautiful progress at his own pace toward developing confidence. Bodega is an extremely resourceful dog with a tendency to escape and climb; therefore, a secure, escape-proof fence is a mandatory requirement for adoption. We’re looking for a loving, calm home where Bodega can feel safe and explore the world at his own pace. We’d like to see him join a family that will patiently, understandingly, and lovingly help him discover what it’s like to live as part of a caring home. Bodega tests positive for heartworm, and we’ve already started his treatment. After spaying/neutering, he can be adopted into a forever home provided the adoptive family treats him as one of their own members.
