Adopt Body

Mixed Breed · Male

Birth Date: March 2015 Weight: Medium Neutered One day, an unfortunate event occurred when my old and sick mother put me in a wicker basket and left me on a street in Bucharest. I managed to get out of the basket and ran after my mother, but unfortunately, I lost her, so I returned to the basket and, as often as someone passed by, I would grab their hand, leading them home. They weren't successful, and I hung there for a few hours until some people who wanted to catch me began to walk around. Oh, if I were small, but I didn't give in to one or two. Those people kept telling me to give up so that I wouldn't get caught by the strays, and I wouldn't be. I didn't understand what strays were, so I held on tight and let them walk me until I was exhausted. Now I understand that I was lucky and I thank my saviors for not giving up until they caught me. From them, I learned that they will promote me for adoption, Oh, what does this mean, as I believe, will I finally go HOME? This is the dream of every stray, to live with the family they love and protect them from all the bad. You must have noticed that Body calls me a bodyguard, of course, because I am ready to give my family even at the cost of my life. I am shy, but with lots of love, many things can change. About Body

What life with Body looks like

Body is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Asociatia ROBI / 4animals.ro in Romania.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting Body, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Body?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Asociatia ROBI / 4animals.ro handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Body on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Body if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Asociatia ROBI / 4animals.ro will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Body already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Body isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Asociatia ROBI / 4animals.ro early rather than rehoming privately; they know Body and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (RO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
