Bogár mama

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

A Szurkolók az Állatokért foundation's help, a new litter of critically endangered, beautiful puppies has arrived at the Noé Állatotthon foundation's parent puppy quarantine. Csodaszép Bogár mami and her two baby boys. They managed to escape, unfortunately not all puppies were so lucky, some were euthanized and some vanished on a wire. In the Jászapáti neighborhood, they were born on the street, we can say, just another ordinary story… Bogár mami is about 2023-born, a beautiful black female puppy. She is lively, playful, a true rascal. She adores being petted and immediately shows off her puppies. We would love if she could be adopted into a loving home where she could continue to enjoy life, rather than being someone's pet. She deserves a good turn in a "FOREVER" family. Every adopter must be considered a family member, so Bogár mami included. Unfortunately, upon intake, she tested positive for heartworm, but we are confident she will recover. A heart ultrasound will soon reveal the extent of her infection and the treatment plan. After Bogár mami is vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, she will be adoptable with heartworm treatment continuing.

About Bogár mama

What life with Bogár mama looks like

Bogár mama is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Heartworm positive - requires ongoing treatment

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bogár mama, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bogár mama?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bogár mama on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bogár mama if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bogár mama already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bogár mama isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bogár mama and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
