adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Boli has found a home! His story: Boli could travel to a foster home! For Boli, it was almost a jackpot – because the little "man" needed specialist doctors in Germany. Boli was born in a foster home in Romania. Unfortunately, an unfortunate accident occurred there, resulting in an intracranial hematoma. For the first few days, he couldn't move from his neck to his back at all. However, his condition improved continuously. Even today, he still shows coordination issues and a small head tic. After initial examinations, he now receives medication and is undergoing physiotherapy. Slowly, his condition is improving. The vet is confident that Boli will be able to lead a normal life. He will likely, however, continue to have some balance issues when walking and a "wobbly head" – which will not affect his quality of life. The little, sweet button makes his foster mom's heart race. He is very clingy, cuddly, and simply looks magical. When you look into his black-and-white face, it's hard to resist him. At 4.5 months old, he weighs 11 kg and is expected to be medium-sized when fully grown. Boli already knows other dogs and even cats. He is a cheerful, sometimes stormy little guy who, due to his accident, needs to learn to take rest periods. For Boli, we are looking for people who will accompany him through his recovery process and ask for nothing from him. Even though he already knows life in the house, he should be forgiven the occasional mishap – after all, he is still a baby and has a lot to learn. Despite his cuteness, cuddliness, and coordination issues, he can be trained and will likely also enjoy a puppy school visit. And Boli will eventually enter puberty – the time when sweet little babies become little rebels who question everything and sometimes also "unlearn" things. Patience, love, consistent training, and a dash of humor are required. Together, you will get through this time, and Boli will definitely develop into a loyal companion. In love with Boli? Then he will begin his great journey to happiness after a positive rehoming. He is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and has his EU pet passport. When rehomed, he will be adopted for a reduced fee of 325 Euro. Many thanks, dear Ker W., you gave Boli his name! Date: 14.07.

Verliebt in Boli? Vielen Dank, liebe Ker W., du hast Boli seinen Namen gegeben! Stand: 14.07.2025

About Boli

What life with Boli looks like

Boli is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Boli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Boli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Boli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Boli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Boli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Boli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Boli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
