Bolle

Poodle · Male · Young · 2 years

Hello, I am Bolle! When I came to the animal shelter, it was quite a change for me. So many people, so much barking, and so much commotion. Even my familiar pack of dogs, where I used to live, was suddenly no longer there. That was really quite funny. The people here are all totally nice to me, and I would love to spend as much time with them as possible. Sometimes they just walk by my room and don't come in at all. I still don't quite understand that. When I'm taken out for a walk or allowed on the grass, I have a lot of fun. I love to move around, and doing something together means the world to me. On days when it's especially hectic, I can get a bit stressed – so I practice with the animal caretakers to stay more calm. So, I am starting to wish for a home again. Preferably with active people who like to do things with me and know how to handle me when the sheepdog comes through. I get along well with most dogs, so it wouldn't be so bad if there was already a doggy buddy waiting for me in the new home. I don't get along so well with small children, but if they are already quite big, that could work. Don't you have a desire to get to know me? Then come by and meet me!

DE·Show original

Dann komm doch gerne vorbei!

About Bolle

What life with Bolle looks like

Bolle is a young adult poodle dog waiting at Tierheim Montabaur in Montabaur.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bolle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bolle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Montabaur handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bolle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bolle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Montabaur will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bolle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bolle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Montabaur early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bolle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
