New situations and unfamiliar noises initially unsettle him, causing him to retreat and seek security. However, once given some time, he gradually shows his friendly side. In everyday life, Bommel is a calm, observing, and yet very talkative tomcat who likes to communicate. He is not a typical cuddly cat and only enjoys cuddles on his own terms. Sometimes he allows closeness, sometimes he prefers to withdraw. If he feels overwhelmed, he clearly shows this and can even snap at your hand. Therefore, his people should be able to read his signals well and give him his space. Particularly interesting is his behavior when interacting with other cats. Despite his previous single housing, he currently shows clear interest in other animals and actively seeks their company. However, he can sometimes be a bit pushy and does not always immediately understand the boundaries of his companion. It can therefore happen that he follows other cats repeatedly, even if they want peace, which can lead to tensions. For his new home, we wish for Bommel an apartment with an enclosed balcony or terrace in a quiet environment with patient and experienced cat owners who give him time to arrive at his own pace and respect his body language. Bommel August 2022 männlich weiß-getigert Wohnungshaltung mit eingenetztem Balkon o. Terrasse Zuhause gesucht! Steckbrief Bommel ist ein schöner weiß-getigerter, ruhiger und eher sensibler Kater. Neue Situationen und ungewohnte Geräusche verunsichern ihn zunächst noch, sodass er sich dann gerne zurückzieht und Sicherheit sucht. Gibt man ihm jedoch etwas Zeit, zeigt er zunehmend seine zutrauliche Seite. Im Alltag ist Bommel ein ruhiger, beobachtender und gleichzeitig sehr gesprächiger Kater, der sich gerne mitteilt. Er ist kein typischer Kuschelkater und genießt Streicheleinheiten nur nach Lust und Laune. Manchmal lässt er Nähe zu, manchmal zieht er sich lieber zurück. Wird ihm etwas zu viel, zeigt er dies deutlich und kann auch nach der Hand schnappen. Daher sollten seine Menschen seine Signale gut lesen können und ihm seinen Freiraum lassen. Besonders spannend ist sein Verhalten im Kontakt mit anderen Katzen. Trotz seiner bisherigen Einzelhaltung zeigt er aktuell deutliches Interesse an Artgenossen und sucht aktiv ihre Nähe. Dabei ist er jedoch manchmal etwas aufdringlich und versteht nicht immer sofort die Grenzen seines Gegenübers. Es kann daher vorkommen, dass er anderen Katzen immer wieder hinterherläuft, auch wenn diese Ruhe möchten, was zu Spannungen führen kann. Für sein neues Zuhause wünschen wir uns für Bommel eine Wohnung mit abgenetztem Balkon oder Terrasse in einem ruhigen Umfeld mit geduldigen und katzenerfahrenen Menschen, die ihm die Zeit geben, in seinem Tempo anzukommen und seine Körpersprache respektieren. Ein Haushalt ohne kleine Kinder ist dabei Voraussetzung.Eine bereits vorhandene Zweitkatze sollte sozial, freundlich und vor allem sehr geduldig sein, damit sie Bommel souverän Grenzen zeigen kann, ohne gestresst zu reagieren. Alternativ kann Bommel auch als Einzelkater gehalten werden, wenn seine Menschen viel Zeit mit ihm verbringen. Idealerweise ist dauerhaft jemand zuhause (z. B. im Homeoffice), damit er ausreichend Ansprache und Gesellschaft bekommt. Bommel ist im August 2022 geboren, kastriert, entwurmt, gechippt und geimpft.
