**REHOMING HELP** Bones Dogo Argentino X Perro de Presa Canario mix, microchipped, vaccinated, born: 01.01.2023 Here comes Bones, 40 kg of pure charm in a Perro de Presa Canario/Dogo Argentino coat. I am 63 cm tall and was born around 01.01.2023, so I'm right in the middle of my teenage years—just with more drool and less understanding of personal boundaries. I'm a lovable blockhead. Once I know you, I'll be a cuddly back-scratcher. Until then? More like a skeptical security guard with a suspicious eye on everything that moves or rustles. New people, especially men, noises, and objects are initially suspect to me. I don't need other dogs, as I still have to learn proper manners, even on a leash. Cats, rabbits, children—thanks, but no. I need a calm home because I'm a bit of a hyperactive pup and can barely settle down at the animal shelter. I know the basic commands for sit and stay, but staying needs work. The same goes for walking on a leash. I need dog-experienced people, without young children and small animals in the household, who can approach my upbringing with heart, mind, and consistency, and turn this rough diamond into an absolute favorite dog. **V E R M I T T L U N G S H I L F E** Bones Dogo Argentino X Perro de Presa Canario Mix gechipt, geimpft geb: 01.01.2023 Bones bei YouTube Hier kommt Bones, 40 kg purer Charme im Perro de Presa Canario/ Dogo Argentino-Gewand. About Bones

What life with Bones looks like

Bones is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Listenhunde Nothilfe in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bones, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bones?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Listenhunde Nothilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bones on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bones if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Listenhunde Nothilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bones already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bones isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Listenhunde Nothilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bones and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
