Boni

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 8 years

Boni is a beautiful dog, about 8 years old and weighing 40 kg. For many years of his life, he lived in difficult conditions, confined to an apartment, which led to him being taken in by intervention. Currently, he is becoming more open to the world and gaining confidence through regular walks and positive interactions with people and other dogs. At first, he was shy and distrustful, but now he increasingly desires human contact. He loves balls and toys, and spending time on walks together is a real pleasure for him. Unfortunately, Boni still has some difficulties to overcome. Due to painful experiences related to a hernia, he may still react slightly sensitively to manipulations around the hindquarters. At the veterinarian's, he can show aggression, and this will need to be worked on. Boni needs a calm and patient home where he can continue to develop his trust in people. If you are a person with a big heart, ready to dedicate time and love to this wonderful creature, we encourage you to consider adopting Boni. Give him a chance for a better life, and we promise he will repay you with love, loyalty, and joy. Boni is castrated.

PL·Show original

Boni potrzebuje spokojnego i cierpliwego domu, gdzie będzie mógł dalej rozwijać swoje zaufanie do ludzi. Jeśli jesteś osobą o wielkim sercu, gotową poświęcić czas i miłość temu wspaniałemu stworzeniu, zachęcamy do rozważenia adopcji Boniego. Daj mu szansę na lepsze życie i obiecujemy, że odwdzięczy się ci miłością, wiernością i radością. Boni jest wykastrowany.

About Boni

What life with Boni looks like

Boni is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja EkoStraż in Wrocław.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Boni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Boni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja EkoStraż handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Boni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Boni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja EkoStraż will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Boni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Boni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja EkoStraż early rather than rehoming privately; they know Boni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
