Bonjour, moi c'est Pepita

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 3 years

File number: AS205811 Name: Pepita Type: Cat Breed: European Age: 2 years and 11 months Sex: Female Spayed: Yes Size: Medium Entry date to the shelter: 22/09/2023 Adoption urgency level: Normal Description: Pepita arrived at the shelter as part of the pound and is 2 years old. Until recently, she was untouchable, but she has made significant progress lately. She is still very shy and a lot of socialization work remains to be done, but it is very encouraging. A calm and patient family is needed for her, and certainly another very cool cat could reassure her. A pre-adoption visit will be carried out to validate her adoption. This lovely cat is a carrier of Feline Coronavirus, which is not transmissible to humans or other species. However, we want to emphasize that she is a "only" healthy carrier of the virus. She is not sick, has no symptoms and does not require any treatment. A cat positive for Coronavirus can become negative within several months if it lives alone in a family. That is why these cats should preferably live alone (an adoption with another Corona+ can be tolerated), but especially without going outside in the garden. In general, up to 90% of cats living in groups and 50% of house cats have been in contact with this Coronavirus. Only 5% of carriers develop FIP, usually fatal if the virus mutates. Spayed, identified and up to date with vaccines, a contribution of 150 euros will be requested for her adoption.

About Bonjour, moi c'est Pepita

What life with Bonjour, moi c'est Pepita looks like

Bonjour, moi c'est Pepita is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at SPA Marseille Provence in Marseille.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonjour, moi c'est Pepita, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonjour, moi c'est Pepita?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA Marseille Provence handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonjour, moi c'est Pepita on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonjour, moi c'est Pepita if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA Marseille Provence will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bonjour, moi c'est Pepita already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonjour, moi c'est Pepita isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA Marseille Provence early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonjour, moi c'est Pepita and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
