Bonnie & Dolly

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

by Jacqueline Freshfields | Sep 13, 2026 | Cats, Female, Female, Kittens, New Resident, Wales From a dusty construction site, to the main stage! Bonnie & Dolly might be named after music royalty, but these beautiful kittens have had a tough start, having been found all alone with their brother Tyler. The trio were too young to be without their mum, so were brought in to us. Right from first arriving, their excitement and curiosity shone through – and they absolutely love a fuss! While Bonnie is the more confident frontwoman, we have a feeling Dolly is a lot more confident than she looks, and just needs time to trust someone before letting her brilliant personality shine through! About Bonnie & Dolly

What life with Bonnie & Dolly looks like

Bonnie & Dolly is a puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonnie & Dolly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonnie & Dolly?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Freshfields Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonnie & Dolly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonnie & Dolly if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Freshfields Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bonnie & Dolly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonnie & Dolly isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Freshfields Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonnie & Dolly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
