adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Bonnie can stay! Your story: Bonnie wants to go on a walk. Bonnie's brother Clyde is full of joy, despite their not-so-easy start in life. The two were found on the street in a very dangerous area. Luckily, they were brought to safety in time. Now, the two are waiting for their own home where they can finally arrive – with love, security, and lots of cuddles. The currently approximately 34 cm tall and 6 to 7 kg female dog loves to be near people, to be stroked, and to interact with them. She is open, friendly, and curious – a little sunbeam that conquers hearts in a storm. She seems to be an uncomplicated dog who can adapt well to new situations. But at almost 7 months old, she is also a young dog and still needs to learn the basics of being a dog. Positive dog training classes can help her new companions become a good team – especially during her approaching puberty. Bonnie is a rather small dog – so she has the perfect size to be everywhere. Her bright rough coat with gray ears definitely has recognizability. Judging by her appearance, she might have some terrier genes: which means she could as a hunting dog find everything that moves interesting. This drive should be followed by the little Bonnie. Do you want to go on an adventure with Bonnie? Bonnie is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas, and neutered for her travel arrangements. Additionally, she has her EU pet passport in her luggage. Even a foster home would be a great blessing for her. Many thanks to Mrs. Himmel, you gave Bonnie her name and thus the chance at a new beginning. As of: 30.10.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Bonnie darf bleiben! Stand: 30.10.2025

About Bonnie

What life with Bonnie looks like

Bonnie is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonnie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonnie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonnie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonnie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bonnie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonnie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonnie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
