Bonnie

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

Bonnie and her sister Janna come from a village in Bistrita, Romania. Their mother lived with a woman who had already found homes for some of her puppies. However, Bonnie and Janna were left behind and eventually given to our Romanian shelter so they could also have a chance at a safe and loving future. Bonnie is about 3 months old, female, and will likely remain small when fully grown. She is an especially friendly, gentle, and sweet puppy who immediately wins hearts with her sweet nature. Bonnie is very open and friendly towards people and has so far been curious and open to her surroundings. Bonnie enchants with her loving nature. She is playful at the right age, but simply friendly and pleasant all around. She is as compatible with other dogs as she is with cats. We are convinced that Bonnie has the best prerequisites to develop into a wonderful companion for life. Like every puppy, of course, Bonnie still needs to learn the whole dog alphabet. Housebreaking, leash training, new environmental impressions, and life in a family are still new to her. That's why we are looking for people for Bonnie who can explain the world to her with patience, love, and the necessary consistency and give her security. A visit to a positively working dog school can also wonderfully support her on her way. We are sure that Bonnie will grow into a great little girl with the right accompaniment and bring a lot of joy to her family. Bonnie travels with a microchip, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-free with a valid EU pet passport. She will be placed after a positive preliminary check and for a deposit. Would you like to give Bonnie a loving home and go through life with her? Then please contact us. A foster home would also be a valuable opportunity for the little mouse. Thank you for your sponsorship, dear Henrike. Thanks to you, the two sisters Bonnie and Janna not only have their beautiful names, but also the chance at a better life. Status: 13.07.2026 Further information on the preliminary check and deposit.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Bonnie

What life with Bonnie looks like

Bonnie is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonnie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonnie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonnie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonnie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bonnie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonnie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonnie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
