BORA

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten

BORA, born on April 30, 2026, is an adorable little black female. BORA was rescued along with her brothers BUTLER and BRUCE during a rescue operation from a wire-mesh balcony exposed to full sunlight. Upon arrival at the association, the kittens were suffering from a severe case of coryza. Thanks to the care, attention, and safety they received, they are now in excellent health and ready to find their forever families. BORA is an affectionate, playful kitten who forms strong bonds with humans. Always seeking attention, she loves cuddle sessions as much as playtime with her brothers and other cats. Sociable with children, BORA is looking for serious, present, and committed adopters who can provide her with the attention, interaction, and affection that a young kitten needs to thrive fully. Placement is governed by an adoption contract, and adoption fees cover identification, vaccination, and spaying/neutering (which will be mandatory around 6 months of age). BORA can only be viewed in Montmorency (95) by appointment following a phone interview and completion of a questionnaire.

About BORA

What life with BORA looks like

BORA is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at SOS Cat Pattes in France.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting BORA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BORA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Cat Pattes handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BORA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BORA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Cat Pattes will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BORA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BORA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Cat Pattes early rather than rehoming privately; they know BORA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
