Adopt Borsodi Miranda

Female · Young · 3 years

Miranda starts off a bit shy and withdrawn, but as soon as she feels safe, she becomes an extremely cuddly, kind, and affectionate dog. A true angel-faced girl who easily wins the hearts of those around her with her gentle nature. She loves human companionship and is very grateful for every bit of attention and affection. She gets along well with other dogs, is not aggressive or dominant, and would happily settle next to another dog. She can also feel comfortable around children due to her gentle nature. Miranda is very good at housebreaking, so she can only settle in as a house pet or in a home where she has fully resolved her house-training needs. Puppies are still a bit uncertain at this stage, so for now, she is completely housebroken and does not want to go anywhere, but with patience, love, and consistency, this can be quickly learned. She seeks a patient and understanding owner who will give her time to settle in, in return for a very loyal and affectionate companion.

Read original (hu)

About Borsodi Miranda

What life with Borsodi Miranda looks like

Borsodi Miranda is a small young adult dog waiting at Szent Ferenc Állatotthon.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Borsodi Miranda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Borsodi Miranda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Szent Ferenc Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Borsodi Miranda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Borsodi Miranda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Szent Ferenc Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Borsodi Miranda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Borsodi Miranda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Szent Ferenc Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Borsodi Miranda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
