Bosco

European Shorthair Β· Unknown

Hello! My name is Bosco 🌲, I am 3 years old πŸŽ‚ and I am a beautiful tabby cat with a gorgeous coat that combines perfect shades. Although I look like an independent tiger, deep down I am a sensitive soul looking for my place in the world 🌍. Unfortunately, I come from a past where I lacked proper care πŸ˜”. Although I look healthy and seem to have a very good background, I still keep some caution towards the unknown. I am looking for a home without loud noises or pressures, where I can leave the past behind and gain confidence with my new family as I feel safe πŸ›‘οΈπŸ‘. I am looking for a good family ❀️ who understands that the first days are for observing and adapting. If you are looking for a companion to see flourish and gain confidence thanks to your love and patience, I am waiting for you ✨.

About Bosco

What life with Bosco looks like

Bosco is a adult european shorthair cat waiting at Centro de Proteccion Animal de Madrid in Madrid.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΈAdopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bosco, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bosco?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Centro de Proteccion Animal de Madrid handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bosco on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bosco if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Centro de Proteccion Animal de Madrid will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bosco already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bosco isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Centro de Proteccion Animal de Madrid early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bosco and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
