Bossy

Female · Kitten · 4 months

Bossy is a 3-month-old, quiet and very shy little female cat. She is a calm, discreet and rather solitary kitten who likes to take time to observe her environment before taking action. She is still quite fearful of humans and will need time to settle into her new family. However, progress is already being made: she is starting to come to humans on her own and is now expressing her first little purrs... She loves to play from time to time and enjoys the company of her fellow cats, as long as they respect her space and her character. Very fearful at the moment, she shows no interest in the outdoors and does not seek to go out at all. 📍 Visible in foster care in Landéda

❤️ 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐞, 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐱 𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐢𝐝𝐞́𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐜 𝐮𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞́𝐧𝐞̀𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥’𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚̀ 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. About Bossy

What life with Bossy looks like

Bossy is a kitten cat waiting at La Patte sur le Cœur BZH in France.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bossy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bossy?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. La Patte sur le Cœur BZH handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bossy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bossy if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — La Patte sur le Cœur BZH will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bossy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bossy isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with La Patte sur le Cœur BZH early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bossy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
