BOWIE &#8211

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 3 months

Male X Griffon Born 15.04.2026 Identified by microchip ℹ️ The Labrador had to undergo surgery for a sheath malformation. Therefore, you will need to be vigilant during his growth 😉 Are you interested in a potential adoption?🥰 👉🏻 In this case, do not hesitate to come to the shelter to fill out the "dog adoption application" (information sheet that does not commit you to anything), or send it to us filled out by email to: 📩 (🔗 Document here: 🔗urlr.me/8yKtHg ). Thus, the files submitted for him will be studied and we will contact the people who best match his needs for a meeting and more details! 🤗 𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗟 ⚠️ This ball of fur may look like a stuffed animal, but it is not! We can never say it enough, adopting an animal is a thoughtful act! It is a long-term commitment (especially for a puppy). This baby will still grow, assert himself and start to make mischief: do his needs on your favorite rug, nibble the feet of chairs and the cushions of the sofa, cry at night, etc. ... So all the education is to be foreseen!

About BOWIE &#8211

What life with BOWIE &#8211 looks like

BOWIE &#8211 is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at SPA de Basse-Normandie in Verson.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting BOWIE &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BOWIE &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA de Basse-Normandie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BOWIE &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BOWIE &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA de Basse-Normandie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BOWIE &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BOWIE &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA de Basse-Normandie early rather than rehoming privately; they know BOWIE &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
