Door afstand van zijn vorige eigenaar is hij in het asiel terechtgekomen. Dat was een grote verandering voor deze oudere heer, en dat merkte je. Boyke vond het asiel nog best spannend. Maar dat veranderde toen hij eenmaal gewend was. Vanaf dat moment komt hij zijn hokje uit om vervolgens trots bovenop de krabton te gaan zitten voor een knuffelsessie. Wie de tijd neemt om Boyke te leren kennen, ontdekt een lieve kater. Wel heeft hij een kleine gebruiksaanwijzing. Boyke heeft namelijk een bijzondere fascinatie voor vingers. Zodra hij vingers ziet, raakt zijn aandacht daar volledig op gericht en zal hij vroeg of laat proberen er een knabbeltje aan te geven.
