Bran

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

With the help of the Füzesabonyi animal welfare foundation, we managed to save 2 LIVES from total isolation. Deep-segmentation, segregation... daily story: Brant was beaten until he fainted, and Finnicket was severely injured multiple times. Therefore, they were taken in by a local family. From then on, they didn't receive any abuse, but their situation was still isolating. Living on a 1-meter long chain, without a home and safety... It's almost unbelievable that despite this, a lovely, people-loving, friendly dog came to us. Bran is young, around 2023 birth, a foster puppy. She constantly gets tangled in her leash, a true workhorse. She most closely resembles a Dutch shearer (shaggy mali). Now that she has safety and comfort, she wants to fill in every missing experience. She needs a task, loving guidance, and lots of training! If someone is looking for a beautiful, athletic, active working dog, then Bran is a super choice. Bran is vaccinated, microchipped, and after neutering, can be adopted as a family pet.

A Füzesabonyi Állatvédő Alapítvány segítségével ismét 2 ÉLETet sikerült a teljes kilátástalanságból kimentenünk. Mélyszegénység, szegregátum... mindennapos történet: Brant addig ütötték, amíg elájult, Finnicket is többször súlyosan megverték.

About Bran

What life with Bran looks like

Bran is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Requires active lifestyle with jobs and mental stimulation

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bran, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bran?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bran on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bran if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bran already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bran isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bran and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
