adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Bran has found his own home! His story: May we introduce: Bran, the young male dog, who at five months already has an exciting story to tell! Together with his sister, he was found in a crate in Romania and now has a safe place at his foster home in Rüdersdorf. But Bran longs for his own home, where he can win hearts with his cheerful nature and special appearance. With his brown-yellow fur, white paws, and the striking light rings around his eyes, Bran not only looks unique but also brings a lot of charm. His exact breed? A real mystery! What is clear, however, is that Bran is a true mixed-breed treasure who has a lot to give. Bran spent the first months of his life in a shelter in Romania. Nevertheless, he shows openness and friendliness towards people, but also great storminess and distance. With us, he is learning to take things a bit more slowly and to accept boundaries. This is currently very difficult for the young male dog, and he still needs to learn the basics of puppy school. We wish for Bran experienced people who will accompany him with patience and consistency through life. He wants to explore the world and needs someone who stands by him with heart and mind. Like all young dogs, Bran would also be happy about a visit to a good dog training class. Curious? Then come by and get to know Bran personally – at Teddy Farms in Rüdersdorf, this little adventurer is waiting for his big luck! Bran is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. He brings an EU pet passport with him and can be adopted after a positive foster home experience. We would be very happy to have a foster home for the sweet man! Who will give him a loving forever home? Many thanks to Aleksis! You gave Bran his name. Status: 08.09.

Vielen Dank an Aleksis! Du hast Bran seinen Namen geschenkt. About Bran

What life with Bran looks like

Bran is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bran, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bran?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bran on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bran if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bran already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bran isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bran and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
