Brando

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 12 months

Bastian, Brando and Braven, three siblings from litter B, are now looking for their future homes! Their life story did not start ideally. Instead of safety, warmth, and a protector, they were one day abandoned a few kilometers before a village, by the roadside. The three little siblings, who were just starting to explore the world, were left alone. Without a mother, without a home, without certainty where to hide and who to trust. They were scared, disoriented, and their bodies bore the marks of a difficult start in life. They had various wounds and ticks had managed to attach themselves to them. They could have been overlooked. They could have become another litter of puppies that people simply drive by and say someone else will save them. Fortunately, this did not happen. People stopped. They saw them. They understood that these three little lives could not be left to fate on the road. They picked them up and began to look for help. And their journey eventually brought them to us. From that moment on, everything slowly began to change for Bastian, Brando, and Braven. They received safety, care, full bellies. A place where they no longer have to think about where to hide from the world. And, above all, they received time. Time to understand that a human hand does not have to hurt. That a human does not have to mean fear. That not everyone who approaches them wants to hurt them. And we see how they move forward every day. From initially frightened puppies, they are slowly becoming more curious and bolder little souls. They are starting to follow what is happening around them. They are interested in the world beyond the fence, new scents, sounds, movement, and people. They still need their time and patience. Not everything is mastered immediately, and not every new stimulus is easy for them. But their trust is growing. And with each passing day, we see more of their true personalities. That is why we would be very happy if their next steps were to take place in their own families soon. Because the shelter is a place where a rescued puppy recovers, learns to trust again, and gets a second chance. But real life begins only when they have their own person. The sooner Bastian, Brando, and Braven find their safe and loving homes, the more time they will have to forget their sad past and learn that life can be completely different. Bastian, Brando, and Braven no longer want to be just puppies that someone once rescued from the road. They want to be loved dogs. They want to belong to families. They want to have their own person who will accompany them through life and show them all the beautiful things they have not known before. And maybe right now, their family is waiting for them. A family that does not know that their life is missing one of these three little boys. For puppies from litter B, we predict medium height in adulthood. A condition for adoption is castration. Puppies are adopted exclusively for indoor use, as full-fledged members of the household and family. Their past cannot be changed. But their future can still be written anew. Brandon can also be supported financially for veterinary procedures and food. SNP 21, 811 01 Bratislava FIO CZ: 2201868518/2010 SWIFT/.s., V Celnici 1028/10, 117 21 Praha 1

Pochytali ich a začali hľadať pomoc. A ich cesta ich napokon priviedla až k nám. A predovšetkým dostali čas. Ešte stále potrebujú svoj čas a trpezlivosť. Chcú patriť do rodín. Chcú mať svojho človeka, ktorý ich bude sprevádzať životom a ukáže im všetko krásne, čo doteraz nepoznali. A možno práve teraz niekde čaká ich rodinka. About Brando

What life with Brando looks like

Brando is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Malá farma in Slovakia.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇸🇰Adopting from Slovakia

Slovak rescue groups coordinate cross-border transport with European partners. Animals are chipped and vaccinated; sterilization is often included for adults and arranged post-adoption for puppies/kittens.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brando, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brando?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Malá farma handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brando on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brando if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Malá farma will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brando already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brando isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Malá farma early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brando and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
