Bregne

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Young · 3 years

Bregne has returned from foster care, where she stayed with her kittens from the troll litter. The foster mother says about Bregne: Bregne has been in foster care with her five kittens and has been a great champion of a mother cat. She is a bit of a cautious type, until she gets to know someone. Although Bregne has been a busy mother cat, she has not lost the kitten in her. Bregne loves to play - especially with feathered teasing sticks and has a lot of speed in her paws. Fun fact: Bregne just loves to lie in low cardboard boxes; even though she has free choice between all places in the home, she chooses the cardboard box on the floor. Bregne is a very affectionate cat, and is really looking forward to getting out, where she can get full focus. She loves cuddles, snacks, being brushed and is all in all just a real wellness cat. She likes to be part of everyday life and likes to lie in the middle of it all - because if you are a bit in the way, there is a good chance for cuddles and attention. When she is being cuddled, she can get carried away by the atmosphere and become a bit overstimulated in her contact with you, but she only means it from a good heart! Bregne needs the opportunity to get out to her new home.

Bregne skal have mulighed for at komme ud i hendes nye hjem.

About Bregne

What life with Bregne looks like

Bregne is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Kattens Vaern in Kattens Vaern.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇰Adopting from Denmark

Danish shelters follow EU pet passport rules and require an adoption contract. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bregne, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bregne?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Kattens Vaern handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bregne on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bregne if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Kattens Vaern will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bregne already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bregne isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Kattens Vaern early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bregne and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DA). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
